Cross Border Virtual Incubator
CBVI has the objective to demonstrate a social and learner-centric entrepreneurship environment for the acceleration of new starters and knowledge exchange. It intends to sustain a (networked) platform, conducive to the training of learners and start-ups.
It aims to sustain a social and learner-centric entrepreneurship environment, which is benign to the sharing of resources on market conditions, access to finance, technology, culture, legislation, showcases and practice models.
Strategically: CBVI aims to improve discussion and cooperation between HE institutions (both education and research-based) and regional stakeholders, to optimise opportunities for entrepreneurship and university ecosystem.
Tactically: CBVI aims to support business planning & tenant incubation, utilising social and professional media & networking as a contributor to entrepreneurial success.
Operationally: CBVI intends to demonstrate that start-ups can utilise contemporary open tools, technologies and services, in order to decrease thresholds of enterprise creation.

Project responsibilities of IGIF:
1) Work package WP 5:
Definition WP6: Pilots on versatile field-oriented coaching of new entrepreneurs
Executing Pilot 5: More intensive student-entrepreneur involvement, meeting & working with successful entrepreneurs, and aspects of social entrepreneurship (IGIF)
2) Work package WP 6:
Definition WP6: Optimising the entrepreneurship ecosystem regional and cross-regional Lessons for improved knowledge transfer and higher regional impact (leader: IGIF)
Activity: assessing performed activities and the impact on the regional and cross-regional entrepreneurship ecosystem
Objective: recommending a ‘to-be’ regional ecosystem, based on the lessons lesson learned from the pilots, the potential of flexible learning technologies, and knowledge transfer
Results: report of the pilot approaches, impact, lessons learned, recommendations
Methods: charting the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats of the approaches in the context of the ecosystem, along with the priorities in the framework of regulatory, market conditions, access to finance, R&D technology, entrepreneurial capabilities and culture
